A Homecoming for Miami's Creative Community

Bakehouse's Homecoming: Celebrating the Class of Now closes its 40th-anniversary year with a graduation-meets-homecoming celebration. The evening brings together resident artists, alumni, supporters and visitors for performances, open studios, food and a preview of the new exhibition Homegrown.

What to Expect

  • A community Homecoming parade, with the Bad Apples Brass Band.
  • Live performances by Spam Allstars and DJ Le Spam.
  • The world premiere of Bakehouse Alma Mater, composed and written by Terese Morgan.
  • Open artist studios across the Bakehouse campus.
  • A preview of Homegrown in the Audrey Love Gallery, plus a tailgate-style celebration, food and dancing.

The Exhibition Continues After Homecoming

Homegrown opens to the public on November 7 and is scheduled to remain on view through April 16, 2027. Bakehouse's regular public exhibition hours are daily from noon to 5 PM; check with the organization before visiting for holiday or special-event changes.
