Getting Around

Plan realistic routes, understand the geography and make the most of your time moving between Miami Art Week destinations.

PRACTICAL GUIDE

The best way to get around Miami Art Week is rarely the same every day. Your neighborhood, schedule, time of day and the number of events you want to see all matter.

Start with geography

Before choosing transportation, look at your day as a map. Group destinations that are close together and avoid unnecessary backtracking between Miami Beach, Wynwood, the Design District and other areas.

Rides and short trips

Rides can be useful, but demand and traffic can change the experience considerably during major events. Build extra time into appointments and reservations.

Walking

In dense areas, walking can be the simplest option. It also makes it easier to discover galleries and installations you would miss from a car.

Build realistic travel time

A useful rule is to schedule fewer major destinations than you think you can fit. The extra space protects you from delays and gives you room for discoveries.
